This i7 is coming up to its first year (which I think is covered by Apple?) and I *think* this maybe a memory issue? If it is, and my Mac is covered, then by a sheer stroke of luck, I decided to get Apple to fit the 8GB memory at the time of purchase (bad I know! and I don't usually do that) BUT that would mean that Apple fitted the memory upgrade and I haven't touched anything myself. However this time, I had the frozen screen saver, and a continuous 3 beeps which I've never had before in a loop? I then re-pressed the power switch on the Macbook and it rebooted fine and seems ok.

Whenever I start the game, the MacBook Pro starts flashing the front light and beeping. I just want to know what the problem was? Edit: So the problem is reproducible. After I restarted the system, everything seemed fine. Suddenly, my MacBook made an annoying beep sound and the front light was also blinking. Go through each step one by one and only advance if it still beeps. For anyone getting 3 beeps at boot, there are a few things you can easily do. Upon booting back up, I would get the dreaded 3 beeps indicating ram failure (according to an employee at a Genius Bar visit) so I upgraded the RAM to 8gb from 4gb myself. Background: my late 13' late 2011 MacBook Pro was randomly freezing and shutting down or restarting before freezing again and shutting down. 13' late 2011 MacBook Pro freezes and beeps 3 times even after replacing ram.
